Bringing Folds of Honor Friday to Panther Creek Country Club

 

Springfield, IllinoisThe Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS announces partnership with Folds of Honor Foundation, an organization that provides life-changing scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled US service members and first responders, to bring Folds of Honor Friday to the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, June 28th, with special ceremony at 6:30 a.m.

Folds of Honor Friday is an initiative by Folds of Honor, a charitable organization founded by PGA professional Lt. Col. Dan Rooney. The initiative honors U.S. service members and first responders at select PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, and Korn Ferry Tour events, creating a shared experience for fans, players, caddies, sponsors, volunteers, and tournament staff to connect and show appreciation for these heroes.

“We are honored to partner with Folds of Honor for this special event,” said Kate Peters, Tournament Director of the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and recognize the sacrifices made by our service members and first responders. Their dedication and bravery inspire us all, and we are proud to support Folds of Honor in their mission to provide for the families of these heroes.”

Highlights: Performance of the National Anthem by Shelley Tulo, color guard presentation from the U.S. Army and the Springfield Fire Department proudly hoisting the American flag.

 

Attendees on Folds of Honor Friday are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to demonstrate their support and patriotism.

 

 

About the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS

The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event on the Korn Ferry Tour, is conducted annually at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois. The 72-hole competition spans four days and features 156 of the world’s best touring professional golfers. Players compete for a total purse of $1,000,000. As the path to the PGA TOUR, the Korn Ferry Tour elevates some of the most talented professional golfers who are ready to compete and win on golf's biggest stage.
