Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS Launches
Charity Chip In Program for Local Not-for-Profit Organizations

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Local not-for-profit organizations have a new opportunity to raise money for their group by volunteering at the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, through the
tournament’s new Charity Chip In program.

The Charity Chip In program will make donations to verified 501c3 non-profit organizations in central Illinois that provide volunteers for certain assignments during the four rounds of competition which take place June 27 through June 30. To be eligible, participating organizations must complete an application form, provide a copy of their not-for-profit determination letter, and contribute a minimum of five volunteers for specific assignments during tournament week.
Volunteers must be 13 or older to participate.

“We are excited to launch the Charity Chip In program, because it promotes volunteerism within
the Central Illinois community and allows us to expand our charitable impact. This is a great way to raise much-needed funds for a special project or mission and we are looking for up to 14
organizations to partner with us this year,” said Tournament Director Kate Peters.

The Charity Chip In Program will enhance the COUNTRY Financial volunteer program, which boasts more than 400 volunteers filling over 20 different committees. Whether one is a golf novice,
an avid fan, volunteered in the past, or a new volunteer, there is something for everyone.

Volunteers receive numerous perks, including branded apparel, meals while volunteering, and the
opportunity to play the Championship’s host course in the volunteer golf outing. There are also a limited number of junior volunteer opportunities available during tournament week, which provides a great way to earn service hours.
